As this painfully ongoing recovery video opens, we see a very stuck Jeep Cherokee at a 4×4 event in Kastoria, Greece. Watch and witness as the job snaps strap after strap before it’s finally pulled from the mud pit of doom.
All four tires are completely stuck in the mud on this Jeep Cherokee at the start of the recovery and are even deeper in it by the end. Three different vehicles had to get involved before this Jeep was eventually pulled, including: a 1964 turbocharged Unimog with snow chains, a Mitsubishi Pajero and finally a Ford Bronco that saves the day.
As a side note, the back side glass is busted out and it’d be really interesting to find out why, but the video picks up after that occurred.
Tow strap after tow strap snap like pieces of sewing yarn until they finally wise up and get the Bronco involved — it’s equipped with a winch that does most of the work to get the Jeep unstuck.
If they’d just added the winch in the mix initially, they would’ve saved what seems like quite a long time, probably hours, and more than a few tow straps.
